2012 will be the 54th class to graduate from USAFA.

2012 is the first USAFA class to be issued the ABU's
 (Airman Battle Uniforms).
2012 will be the first class to complete the revived CST as a graduation requirement after a break in the program in 2004.

On October 16, 2009, the Class of 2012 (cadets only) will celebrate, with a special dinner and presentation, their exemplar selection of General Henry "Hap" Arnold along with the Legacy Class of USAFA 1972. 
The 2012 class chose the someone who best "exemplifies" the type of person the class wishes to emulate.

Dear fellow 2012 parents,

This is it, folks! The dog tags have been strung by our COS crew. The patches arrived in plenty of time. Both mementos have been stuffed by Rise” Foster-Bruder, Elaine Collins, Sally Misare, and Chris Tope into nice blue envelopes with stickers saying, “From Your Parents”. Will our C3Cs notice that? ;-)  Rise” will deliver the gifts, thanks to your generous donations, to Mitch’s tomorrow evening just before the dinner hour.

Here’s a heartfelt collective thanks from all of us to our COS parents who are our hands across the miles.

The COS Task Force (our local angels) will prepare the envelopes for distribution to our 2012 cadets at the Exemplar Dinner on 16 October 2009.
